Fastec developed the Imaging IL5 high speed camera for industrial maintenance, but also for the mining industry, engineering and research. This high resolution system is aimed at the design and optimisation of equipment, preventive maintenance of machinery without production outage, as well as repair work. It also allows slow motion replay of animal movement, or fluid dynamics.

About High speed camera Fastec Imaging IL5
The IL5 high speed camera has a compact design, enabling its installation at the heart of machinery and laboratory equipment, including microscopes. The system is ultra-light (1 kg) but robust thanks to its machined aluminium casing.
It uses a 5 megapixel (12 bit) CMOS sensor. The sensor can function in different modes: standard, binning and su-sampling. Pixel size is 5 μm.
At full HD, frame rates can be up to 600 images per second, with up to over 20 000 fps at low resolution. There is also a wide ISO range, so that you can adapt to variable lighting conditions without compromising image quality: from 800 ISO (colour) to 12 800 ISO (monochrome) depending on the operating mode. This high definition camera also has an HDMI port for connecting an external monitor, a USB port and an Ethernet port.
The compact camera is available in 4 models, with different resolutions: IL5-L (800×600 pixels), IL5-S (1280×1024 pixels), IL5-H (1920×1080 pixels), IL5-Q (2560×2048 pixels).
The vision system can be monitored from an inbuilt web interface. This enables high speed camera control from the internet browser on a laptop, smartphone or digital tablet. It also has its own professional software, through which it is possible to control several cameras at the same time, and perform batch downloads, along with a variety of possibilities for triggering the camera.
As an option, it can be equipped with a 6-headed cable, for advanced multi-camera synchronisation applications. You can also add up to 2 Tb of storage capacity (SSD) for extended recording sequences, as well as remote wireless control of the camera via a Wifi connection. It is also possible to add an external portable battery for extended sequence recording.
